You don’t have to drive a hybrid to get good mpg. Here’s 5 great cars (and their mpg):
1.Ford Fusion Hybrid: The Ford Fusion Hybrid (its twin, the Mercury Milan Hybrid) is the first vehicle to use Ford’s second generation hybrid system.
The 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid has many impressive safety features that come standard. The Fusion comes standard with seven airbags, dual-stage driver and front passenger airbags, front seat side airbags, driver’s knee airbag, 1st- and 2nd-row side air curtains. This is one more airbag than any other ford vehicle. Now that is full body coverage. Do you have a test drive Ford Fusion Hybrid?
2. Nissan Altima Hybrid: The Nissan Altima hybrid is the first hybrid squad car to be used by the NYPD.
Here in sunny San Francisco and in many other major cities hybrid taxis and buses are pretty commonplace. The Nissan Altima Hybrid starts at $26500. Clean Fleet Report’s test drives of the Nissan EV demonstrated plenty of acceleration.
3. Mazda Tribute Hybrid: Mazda finally entered the hybrid scene, providing the same size and convenience as the regular Tribute—but with the added
environmental benefits of a hybrid powertrain.
It is basically a re-skinned Ford Escape Hybrid, using the same powertrain and many of the same interior bits. The Mercury Mariner also borrows from the Escape Hybrid, so hybrid shoppers can choose from three flavors of the same vehicle.
4. Toyota Highlander hybrid: There are even rising SUV hybrids, such as the new 2009 Toyota Highlander hybrid,
the 2009 Mitsubishi Endeavor hybrid, the new 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid, and the H2009 Honda CRV hybrid. These are popular in the US states because it satisfies two things:
1) It still provides safety; 4 wheel drive; and bigger
2) Also fuel efficient and saves the average driver alot of money when filling up.
5. Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid: 4,163 cc 4.2 liters V 8 front engine with 84.5 mm bore, 92.8 mm stroke, 11.0 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and five valves per cylinder.
It’s too hard to believe the Korean auto firm Hyundai is a latecomer to the business when such vehicles as the Santa Fe Hybrid are presented to the market. The Hyundai Santa Fe Blue Hybrid has been sent to 2008 Paris Auto Show is a hybrid version of its Santa Fe small SUV.
